About the Company / Business

English Eclectics is a collection of lovely things that aims to capture the essence of English style through good design, innovation and humour.

The range of products is small but growing, with plenty more 'in the pipeline'. Many items are our own designs; manufactured in small quantities here in the UK. We also  locally source craft items and handmake some of the items ourselves. Then there are some 'simply nice things' (old and new) that we've spotted and just sit well within the collection.

One of the reasons we love the English style is that it's evolved over many centuries and draws on a myriad of influences. For instance, Paisley, a fabric long accepted as iconically English was originally imported from India, via Paisley in Scotland. Even the AGA, now an English classic was originally a Swedish design. So inspiration sometimes  comes from unusual places and we aim to continue the tradition.

We're a small design company and lucky enough to be based in rural Worcestershire; in the Heart of England. Here, the landscape is perfect for walking and dreaming up new ideas. The seasons are very apparent and make us feel very connected to the big outdoors. Local food ingredients are the best quality and fantastically fresh for home cooking.
