About the Company / Business

Simon and Gilly Groom enjoy welcoming  bed and breakfast guests to their lovely historic home at Dethick, a tiny unspoilt hamlet comprising just three farms and a church - the perfect place to unwind. Many say it's a place where time has  stood still, yet it is just 15 minutes from the M1,  and   only 2 miles from Matlock. Dethick lies within the curtilage  of the Derwent Valley World Heritage site at Cromford and is a short drive to the nearby towns of Bakewell and Ashbourne.

Matlock is at the gateway to the Derbyshire Dales and the Peak District National Park,  an ideal touring base.  Chatsworth House, Hardwick Hall, Haddon Hall and many places of historical interest and other popular attractions are close by. Derbyshire is one of the country's  most visited destinations for walkers and ramblers, boasting miles of walking terrain to suit every level or ability. There are wonderful walks directly from the Manor Farmhouse in the  beautiful area
surrounding Matlock, Riber, Cromford and beyond

The Manor Farmhouse offers its bed and breakfast guests
a high standard of comfortable accommodation with big
comfortable beds, delicious breakfasts and
many
facilities.  It's relaxed and informal. Huge stone walls,
exposed beams and timbers add to the charm and
character of this wonderful house.

Breakfast is served in the original  Tudor kitchen, using home  produce and the finest local and organic ingredients. In addition to our Farmhouse Breakfast we offer a wide choice of alternatives, vegetarian options and cater for all diets.
