About me

 

I am a modern languages graduate (French and Italian), with professional qualifications in land law and project management. Before going freelance, I was a manager in the public sector, with roles ranging from training instructor to project manager, consultation manager and business analyst, all of which involved writing, editing and proofreading written communication of all kinds to a high level of accuracy.

 

I have passed (with Merit) the Publishing Training Centre’s Certificate in Proofreading. I am a member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders (http://www.sfep.org.uk/) and regularly undertake their training workshops. I abide by their Code of Practice. I can work with paper or electronic documents.

 

I am experienced in handling legal texts, but other specialisms include business and management, education and training, language, literature, history, travel, gardening and the arts, and working with those who use English as a second language.
