Welcome to Spoonsful of Sugar, a vibrant agency run by Sue Lawson and Helen Dykes placing au pairs both in the UK and abroad.

 

Sue has had au pairs herself for a number of years to help with her two children and to help around the home and so understands both the needs of the family and the au pair.

Spoonful of Sugar provides a personal, proactive and above all friendly service ensuring that au pairs and families are well matched and both enjoy a positive experience.

 

It can be extremely rewarding for everyone involved with both parties benefiting from each others cultural backgrounds and many go on to forge long lasting relationships.

 

It can also however, be a little bit daunting. If you are a family hosting an au pair for the first time, it can be quite challenging to welcome a new person into your home. If you are an au pair staying with a family for the first time, it can often be unsettling until you find your feet and if you are a family whose current au pair is returning home, the thought of starting all over again with a new au pair can be less than appealing.
