About the Company / Business

workshop facilitation and business modelling

HOW WE CAN HELP

Our services help you, your customer, programme collaborators and other stakeholders to develop clarity around shared purpose, design structure and identify roles and working relationships. This is key to successful programmes and projects.

Our approach is known as Group Insight and is based around facilitated workshops which promote full stakeholder involvement and ownership.

Our specialism is developing models to reflect the wider environment, the various stakeholder perspectives and agreements reached. These models capture the core principles and agreed ways of working that will sustain the programme or project throughout its life-cycle.

It's my belief that two factors help people to thrive in a changing work environment. One is being involved in solving the immediate issues arising from change; the other is feeling part of the longer term direction. In such situations, making clear agreements on accountabilities and exploration of the roles people play provides a framework for everyone to take part in forging new working relationships."

Jane has more than 10 years experience as a consultant, including managing the government sector consultancy team. Throughout her career she has been involved in bids and delivery of large scale programmes and projects, including project and line management responsibilities. In addition, she has often taken on the roles of project 'designer' and change agent, assisting the programme director in start up and direction setting activities. She has been recognised as a specialist in stakeholder management and design of governance, also contributing workshops for risk identification and innovation.

Jane's technical expertise is in modelling large and complex business systems e.g. the criminal justice system, probation, magistrates courts, a social work department and a charity working with young people at risk.

Jane has continued to develop an innovative approach to change, deriving a unique set of methods and tools which are the basis of her consultancy practice. She works through the medium of facilitated workshops and is a certified facilitator through the IAF (International Association of Facilitators).

"I have a husband David, and an adult son. David and I have lived on the edge of the peak district for the past 24 years and are keen on birdwatching and walking. I am passionate about what I do. Developing this consultancy practice enables me to focus on the area of work that I have been developing for the last 14 years and to make a difference with a wider set of programmes and projects, not just those related to IT. I see myself as a 'boundary person'; never happier than when hearing and understanding a set of diverse perspectives and starting to see a bigger picture evolve."
