About the Company / Business

Worcestershire Country Markets Society Ltd is a co-operative social enterprise selling homemade baked goods, preserves and crafts and homegrown fruit, vegetables and plants at weekly venues throughout the county. Customers can buy a wide range of high quality, fresh, homemade food, all prepared in domestic kitchens and gardens. Membership enables home producers to sell items directly to the public and, in response to a growing demand, producers are now selling the same homemade food through retail outlets such as community owned shops, farm shops and garden centres, supplying local food for local people.

We have Markets at Droitwich, Evesham, Hagley, Malvern, Pershore, Tenbury Wells and Worcester. We have stalls at several Farmers’ Markets.

Members include those looking for work to fit in with school hours and those who have taken early retirement. All benefit from a low cost and low risk entry to sell their products in a co-operative environment.  We also accommodate those who just want to sell surplus fruit, vegetables and plants.

It means people can turn their talents and hobbies into cash and make new friends.

Worcestershire Country Markets welcomes new members; it costs just 5p for life, including product and public liability insurance.

There are no minimum quantities to produce – just the amount that suits you.

All Producers contribute to Market running expenses through a commission on their products.

Our food Producers must have a food hygiene qualification, but we give financial assistance to new Producers in obtaining the relevant qualification.
