Sustainable Business Scheme - 12/14/2009

Sustainable Business Scheme

This scheme has been set up for local businesses by the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Partnership. It gives an opportunity for small Shropshire businesses to save money, boost the local economy, attract more custom and improve their sustainability.

The scheme offers a wide range of information and help on ways to save money and reduce carbon emissions. It also offers members discount admission to informative and valuable business workshops and seminars, which are organised by the Shropshire Hills AONB Partnership.

By becoming a member of this business scheme, your business will be publicised on the Shropshire Hills Buy Local website and have access to promotional material and the ‘Buy Local-Be Sustainable’ logo, increasing customer awareness and your business’s profile.

There are over 50 businesses in Shropshire that are now members of the Scheme, since it was set up in 2008. Existing members say that they benefit from the Scheme, because it  increases their profile as a sustainable business and also offers great ways to save money and energy.

Businesses that are interested in the Scheme can have a FREE business energy audit, available until the end of March 2010.

For more information click HERE or call Jodie Griffith on 01588 674090 or see -www.shropshirehills-buylocal.co.uk/index.cfm

(This Scheme is part-funded by the Southern Shropshire Partnership)
