Oreknot Creative Hub 27 Bridge Street Carmarthen SA31 3JS
Join us for our February Networking Meeting with guest speaker Shamaine Robinson who will be talking about 5 Marketing Tips you can start today.
Like you, marketing expert and business author Shamaine Robinson has seen marketing defined numerous ways over the years. Is it advertising? Is social media? Is it black magic? Or, is there a simple solution? With nearly three decades of executive marketing, speaking, training and most importantly, real-life, in-the-trenches experience, her view is radically different. Shamaine appreciates, and shares with listeners, that marketing is not magic, difficult or expensive. It is a consistent approach. Marketing is the life blood of any business; it is all about the customer. Shamaine has worked for some of the biggest Brands in the world – BT, Kodak, HSBC and Coca Cola, until taking the leap into Self Employment in 2000. Since that time, her main focus has been to help SMEs stop wasting money on their marketing efforts and show them the difference between Brand Marketing & Direct Marketing. The author of Marketing Magic for SME’s: A no BS approach to marketing in a SME.
As usual the charge for the event will be £4 to cover room hire and includes tea/coffee/nibbles
There is no parking directly outside the venue but all council car parks around town are free to park in after 6pm this includes Spillman Street and County Hall, Blue Street, John Street, St Peter’s and Friar’s Park. You can also park on the roadside on Blue Street at this time of night and either walk up Little Bridge Street (there are a few bays there) or walk up through Guildhall Square and down Bridge Street. The easiest buildings to find to get your bearings are Cafe Lorenzo or Diablos on Guildhall Square, adjacent to Carmarthen Castle, if you find either Lorenzo’s or Diablos then walk down the narrow road behind them and you find yourself on Bridge Street. If you park at County Hall then walk down Queen Street, turn left at the end and you end up in Guildhall Square, the Castle is obvious, Cafe Lorenzo’s is adjacent to the Castle and go down the narrow road between Lorenzo’s and the Castle and you will find Oreknot on your right hand side.
